What Does A Healthy Day Look Like?

Do you have a healthy eating plan?  Good health is a reward for responsible eating habits.

Is there an easy to follow physical workout you schedule daily?

How is your attitude?  Do you practice a positive mental disposition?

As James Clear says in his book Atomic Habits says “You do not rise to the level of your goals.  You fall to the level of your systems.”

Here Are 7 Ways to Have A Healthy Day

     1. Sustainable Sleeping Patterns

Sleep cycles have to be consistent for your body. Without enough sleep, your vital organs go into overdrive. This leads to fatigue and loss of mental sharpness. It makes you ineffective in any work. Poor sleeping patterns often cause people to binge eat. This causes complications like obesity, diabetes, and heart diseases. It will definitely show with bags under your eyes, grogginess, and premature aging. A good night’s sleep of 7 hours goes a long way to set your day straight.

     2. Morning Stretches

Not everybody is a morning person and for most people, they struggle to wake up. When they do, they are like zombies. The practice of stretching is beneficial for different muscle groups and joints. It also improves blood circulation to the entire body and stimulates a pleasant mood.  According to the American College of Sports Medicine, stretching starts your day with a burst of energy. It makes you more flexible and also enhances your coordination. Stretching is important for all human beings and helps you have great posture.

Wholesome health is a reward for responsible eating habits. Coupled with a physical workout routine. Add an attitude to life and a positive mental disposition. What does your healthy day look like? Click To Tweet

     3. Wholesome Meals and Hydration

How you feel through the day is the result of the food you eat. Balance your proteins, fiber, carbohydrates, fats, and vitamins. Fruits will sustain your energy levels all day. If you only have one complete meal a day go for breakfast.  It will keep you full for the better part of the day.  Also important is to plan ahead for meals. This helps to avoid stuffing yourself with junk food. There is no nutritional value in eating processed food. The high salt content will leave you susceptible to high blood pressure. Junk foods overwork your vital organs and make you feel hungry and fatigued after a short while.

A healthy day should include proper hydration throughout the day. Drinking 2-3 liters daily is not only refreshing but also elevates your moods. All of your organs depend on the water so all your systems function well.

     4. Routine Exercise

A workout is a secret to a long happy life. It improves the quality of your lifestyle. An exercise routine that you enjoy gives you the vigor to handle any challenges. It also lets you look good while at it. Exercising also increases your bone density and boosts your immunity. Breaking a sweat after a long day in the office is a great way to unwind and stay healthy.

     5. Managing Stress For A Healthy Day

An active life is often characterized by stress which may take a toll on you. You do not have functional coping mechanisms. There many ways of dealing with stress. Breathe deep and stay composed. You will have a clear mind that can solve problems rather than escalating the situation.  A great day is the sum of all the little efforts that create the right environment for you to thrive. It is vital to maintain a positive self-image. treat yourself well as loving yourself makes life worth living.

     6. Gratitude

The benefits of practicing gratitude are endless. People who reflect on the things they are thankful for experience more peace. They are more positive, sleep better, and express more kindness. They even have a stronger immune system.  The best way to reap the benefits of gratitude is to notice new things you are thankful for every day. Be sure to open your eyes to the world around you. Make a game out of noticing new things each day.

     7. People Who Lift You Up

Some people struggle each day to find a happy way of living. There’s value in surrounding yourself with people who know how to lift your spirits.  One of the best ways to find happiness is to find those who know how to create their own happiness and share it. You know the saying you become like those around you. Look at your inner circle of friends. Are they who you would like to become? Do you admire and respect them? If not, you should consider opening your circle to new inspiration.  Take a few minutes each day to do a check-in.  Are you living each day a healthy day?  Would the benefits be worth spending time to start this new habit?
